About Us
Platform Access Equipment Rental LLC
Trusted Boom Lift Rental Across the UAE
Man Lift Rental Dubai (operated by Platform Access Equipment Rental LLC) is a specialist boom lift and manlift rental company based in the United Arab Emirates. We serve contractors, facility managers, and industrial clients across Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman with a dedicated fleet of diesel 4x4 boom lifts — mostly telescopic, alongside one articulating machine (the JLG 510AJ) — ranging from 16 meters to 26 meters of working height. The same fleet powers our boom lift hire in Dubai, alongside our coverage of Sharjah and Ajman.
Our approach is deliberately focused. Rather than spreading thin across every emirate and piece of equipment, we concentrate on doing one thing exceptionally well — providing reliable, safe, and well-maintained boom lifts to the projects that drive Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman's construction and industrial sectors. That focus translates into faster mobilisation times, better-maintained machines, and direct accountability from our own team rather than layers of subcontractors.
What "specialist" means in practice is that we concentrate on one family of equipment: diesel-powered, four-wheel-drive boom lifts. We do not run a mixed catalogue of scissor lifts, cranes or forklifts. Most of our fleet is telescopic — the type that does the most work on open UAE sites — alongside one articulating boom, the JLG 510AJ, for up-and-over access. Concentrating on a single machine family means our maintenance team works on the same hydraulics, booms and chassis day in and day out, our drivers know exactly how each unit loads for transport, and we can advise you accurately on which working height suits your task. A telescopic boom is the right tool when you need maximum height and the longest straight-line reach, extending in one straight line to put a worker at height or at distance quickly and predictably; an articulated boom like our JLG 510AJ instead bends at a knuckle to fold up and over an obstacle and reach into recessed or tight positions.
We rent on a bare-rental basis. That means we deliver a fuelled, fully tested machine ready to work, and you operate it with your own trained and certified operator. Bare rental keeps your costs down and gives your site full control of scheduling, which suits contractors who already hold the relevant operator certification. If you are unsure which size to request, our guide to choosing a boom lift size walks through the decision, and our team is happy to talk it through on the phone.
Our Commitment to Safety
Working at height carries real risks, and we take that responsibility seriously. Every machine in our fleet is regularly inspected, serviced, and safety-tested. All units are supplied with up-to-date third-party test certificates. We do not cut corners on maintenance — because a breakdown on a project site is never just an inconvenience, it's a safety issue and a cost to our clients.
Maintenance is not a box-ticking exercise for us. Between hires, each returning machine is checked over, cleaned and serviced as needed before it goes back out, so the unit that arrives on your site is one we would be comfortable working under ourselves. Every boom lift is supplied with a valid third-party test certificate — the independent inspection document that UAE main contractors and consultants routinely ask to see before a machine is allowed through the gate. Having that paperwork ready on delivery saves you the delay of a unit being turned away at site induction. Because we run our booms on a diesel 4x4 chassis, the same machines that reach high are also built to stand on the rough, uneven and compacted ground typical of an active UAE site, which matters as much for safety as it does for productivity. Bare rental does mean responsibility is shared: we keep the machine mechanically sound and certified, and you ensure it is only ever operated by a competent, certified operator within the manufacturer's rated load and slope limits.
Our Fleet
We maintain a dedicated fleet built around four working heights — 16, 18, 22 and 26 metres — covering the access tasks most commonly needed across Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. Each size earns its place by doing a particular job well:
- 16 Meter Telescopic Boom Lift — our entry-level workhorse, with a working height of 16.09 metres (roughly the fifth floor of a typical building). It is the size we mobilise most often for low- to mid-rise construction, signage, warehouse racking and routine building maintenance, and it is usually the easiest unit to position on tighter sites.
- 18 Meter Articulating Boom Lift — the JLG 510AJ, the one articulating machine in our fleet, with a 17.81 metre working height (around the fifth to sixth floor), a rotating jib and 180° platform rotation that bend up and over obstacles. Choose it when you need to reach across or around something — landscaping, a barrier or parked plant — or into a recessed, obstructed position, rather than work directly beneath the platform. Its zero tail swing and 360° turntable make it the size to pick on tight or congested sites.
- 22 Meter Telescopic Boom Lift — at 22.02 metres of working height (roughly the seventh floor), this is the size customers ask for most. It hits the sweet spot for mid-rise construction, structural steel erection and curtain-wall installation, offering meaningfully more height than the 18 metre articulating unit without stepping up to our largest machine.
- 26 Meter Telescopic Boom Lift — the tallest in our fleet at 26.38 metres of working height (around the eighth floor), for high-rise facade access, tall industrial structures and the jobs where nothing shorter will reach.
Working Height, Platform Height and Reach — Explained
When you compare boom lifts, the headline figure is always working height, not platform height. Working height describes how high a worker can actually reach — the height of the platform floor plus the reach of a person standing on it — while platform height is just the floor itself. That is why a machine listed at 22.02 metres of working height puts the platform floor a little lower than that number suggests. It is worth confirming the real height of your task before you book, because that gap can be the difference between a job that sits comfortably in range and one that leaves a worker stretching. The straight-line geometry of a telescopic boom also means its maximum height and its maximum horizontal reach are not available at the same moment: the further out you reach, the lower you sit, and the higher you go, the closer in you work. When you call, tell us both how high and how far across you need to work and we will point you to the right size. Our boom lift size guide compares all four machines side by side — over-specifying height costs you money, while under-specifying it costs you a wasted mobilisation.
Why Clients Choose Us
Over the years we have built long-term relationships with contractors and facility managers who value reliability over bargain pricing. Here is what sets us apart:
- Fast mobilisation — same-day or next-day delivery across Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman
- Direct service — no middlemen, no subcontractors. You deal with our own team from first call to equipment return
- Well-maintained fleet — regular servicing, inspections, and safety certification on every unit
- Flexible rental terms — weekly, monthly and long-term rates, with monthly and long-term the best value (minimum hire one week), all with transparent pricing and no hidden charges
- Test-certified machines — every unit supplied with valid third-party certificates
- Industry-specific knowledge — we understand UAE permit requirements, free zone procedures, and site-specific challenges
We would rather quote you the correct machine once than win a job on price and let you down on delivery. That reputation for turning up on time with a clean, certified, working machine is what brings contractors back to us hire after hire, and much of our work comes from repeat customers and referrals rather than one-off bookings. For projects that run for weeks or months, our long-term rental terms bring the rate down further, and you can see how pricing is structured on our rental prices page.
How We Work — From Enquiry to Off-Hire
We keep the rental process simple and quick:
- Enquiry — call or WhatsApp us on +971 55 692 9829 with the working height you need, your site location and how long you need the machine. The more you can tell us about the task, the more accurate our advice.
- Quote — we confirm availability and give you a clear weekly, monthly or long-term rate (minimum hire one week, with monthly and long-term the best value) with delivery and collection spelled out, so there are no surprises later.
- Delivery — once you confirm, we aim to mobilise the machine to your Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman site within 24 hours, often the same or next day, fuelled and with its third-party test certificate on board.
- On hire — your certified operator runs the machine for the duration of the rental. If anything mechanical goes wrong you call us directly, because our own team handles support, not a subcontractor.
- Off hire — when you are finished, let us know and we collect the unit. On longer hires you simply extend the term rather than re-booking.
Ground Conditions and Site Access
A boom lift is only as safe as the ground it stands on, so a few minutes of preparation before delivery saves time and risk. Our machines are diesel 4x4 units chosen for UAE conditions, but they still need firm, reasonably level ground to travel and elevate on. Before we deliver, it helps to think about the access route the transport will use, the width and headroom of any gate or doorway the machine must pass through, overhead obstructions such as cables and pipe racks at the work position, and whether the working surface can carry a heavy machine without soft spots. If you are working indoors or in an enclosed area, remember these are diesel units that need adequate ventilation. Tell us about any of these constraints when you book and we will flag anything that needs attention before the machine arrives.
Service Areas
We deliver and collect across three emirates and keep our service area deliberately tight, so that mobilisation stays fast and our team stays close to every machine on hire:
- Dubai — our home market, covering the city's construction corridors, free zones, industrial areas and commercial districts.
- Sharjah — delivery across the emirate's industrial and warehousing zones and residential developments.
- Ajman — fast access to Ajman's growing construction and facilities-maintenance projects.
Each location page covers local delivery detail, common project types and frequently asked questions. We focus on Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman rather than stretching across the whole country, because staying local is exactly what lets us promise mobilisation within 24 hours.
Industries We Serve
Our boom lifts go to work on a broad mix of projects every week. The most common include:
- Construction & structural work — new-build sites, structural steel erection and concrete repair where crews need to reach height safely.
- Facades & glazing — curtain-wall installation, glass replacement, cladding and facade cleaning on mid- and high-rise buildings.
- Building & facilities maintenance — routine upkeep, painting, lighting and inspection work for facility managers.
- Signage & branding — installing and servicing shopfront signs, hoardings and billboards.
- HVAC & MEP — installing and maintaining ducting, pipework, cable trays and rooftop plant.
- Industrial & plant maintenance — access to tanks, structures and machinery in factories and yards.
- Warehouse & logistics — high-bay racking, lighting and roof work inside distribution facilities; see our boom lift for warehouse & MEP maintenance.
